I am so glad to have found AC/Heating guys I can call my own! Chad was prompt, courteous, professional and knowledgeable in regards to service needed on my AC & Furnace and some other items with our duct work and insulation. Clearly a lot of time and effort ensuring high quality was put into the job. He wouldn't move forward on anything until he got my approval, and even saw some leaks (not his area) that might need attention as well. I thought the pricing was very good for such excellent work and service. Self Heating & Air takes care of business. Finally I have someone I can recommend to others!
I have used the Self brothers (Chad and John) for several small jobs at my Midtown ATL loft over the past few years. They always arrive promptly, diagnose and remedy the
problem, and don't ask for an arm and a leg to do the job. Just recently it appeared that my dinosaur of an AC unit needed to be replaced...these guys quoted me a price that I couldn't beat with anybody else. After lugging the AC unit to the roof of my 8-story building for installation, the guys discovered and solved a minor problem, and told me I didn't need to replace the unit after all...saved me over $1200! Who else do you know that is going to be that honest with their customers?...I'm never using anybody but Chad and John Self.

A week ago, after a scheduled check of our A/C by another company, we found that our A/C did not work. We called the company back and after an evaluation, were told that we had a leak in our coil and recommended that we replace the coil AND compressor since it was a "builders grade" unit and was not "built to last". Mind you, it is only 7 years old! My neighbor recommended a friend who had done a lot of work for him and his company, namely Chad Self, and I called for a second opinion.
Chad came to check out the problem and indeed found the coil to be leaking but suggested that we not replace the compressor as it was in good working order. He came promptly to repair the coil and in addition noticed that the pressure in a second system was low. He recharged the system with coolant and we were back up and running.
Chad was very prompt, thorough, cost effective (very important in these financial times), and professional. When he left, I felt as though, he would take care of us regardless of the problem. Oh, yes, and we have changed our annual contract over to Chad! What better vote of confidence than that! In
addition, we found out that at least 4 other people in our neighborhood are using Chad too. Great job Chad. I would recommend him to anyone.
